Every time I pop a pregnancy question box onto my Instagram stories, I get asked about which clothes I’d recommend for pregnancy comfort and bump support. I’ll admit, it was a real journey to figure out which leggings would offer the best of both worlds, but when I found the trio below, I knew I’d be reaching for them over and over again. They held up well through my entire pregnancy, even in the middle of filming my Movement Through Pregnancy program, and they each have some details that I truly love.
No matter which pairs you decide to try, I always suggest washing leggings in cold water without any softener and letting them air dry. It helps with longevity, which means you can rock these leggings through each trimester. Happy shopping, mamas!
These are the gold standard for a ton of women everywhere, pregnant or not! They’re definitely at the top of my list for a reason. The Align leggings are truly my favorites of all time — I wore them for years before pregnancy, I wore them during pregnancy, and I’m still wearing them postpartum. I can’t get enough!
While these are technically not maternity leggings, they offer great support and they’re so comfortable, you’ll hardly feel like you’re wearing leggings at all. I wore my regular size (6) until about halfway through my second trimester. When it became clear that I was going to really stretch them out, I bought a size 8 for the rest of my pregnancy. The sizing totally worked, but in hindsight, I wish I’d bought the higher rise. The regular “high rise” version stayed up and didn’t roll down on my belly, but it didn’t quite cover my belly button. If you’re looking for more bump coverage, the “super high rise” is your best bet.
These are a bit of an investment, but I wore them so often that it was worth it to buy my “maternity size” for those last 18-20 weeks. I think I might have worn them to work every single day for a month or two! No matter which trimester you’re in (or even if you’re not pregnant at all!), you will fall in love with these leggings, I promise.

These leggings were specifically designed to offer serious belly support, and they deliver on that promise! As my bump grew, my Blanquis continued to give me the extra support I needed. They have a seamless belly panel that is super comfortable — it never felt like it was digging into my skin. They come in a good handful of colors, and the fabric is soft, but not see-through, which is a very important detail when you’re filming workouts!
These leggings do have graded compression in the thighs, and I know that’s not a feeling everyone loves. I would definitely recommend that you give them a shot, but try them on before removing the tag to make sure you enjoy that “held in” feeling. The extra compression and belly support was incredibly helpful to me on the days I experienced pelvic girdle pain, so if you’re dealing with that, these leggings are about to be your new BFF.
Looking for that Lululemon feel on a budget? These POSHDIVAH leggings from Amazon are the best dupe I could find — the material feels really similar, these are just a little thicker! They provide great bump coverage and support, and they aren’t see-through at all. I grabbed a pair early on in my pregnancy, and they held up surprisingly well. I still think Lululemon is the best option around, but if you want to snag a cheaper option to rotate in, these are under $25 and totally work. Take care of these with cold water washes, no softener, and air dry them to extend their life!
Honestly, while I loved all three of these pairs, the Align leggings are still my #1. I would invest in a few pairs of the super high rise options for added belly support, and plan to size up one size, either from the start or about halfway through your second trimester. I actually think you could keep your regular size throughout an entire pregnancy, but they would definitely stretch out too much to keep wearing them postpartum. I would definitely keep a pair of the Blanqi leggings on hand for pelvic girdle pain days, too! The only pair that I probably would not purchase again is the Poshdiva from Amazon. While they are a good dupe, they do collect hair and fuz a lot easier than the Aligns from Lululemon. Plus the material of the Aligns just cannot be beat!
If you try a pair of these — or all three! — I’d love to hear what you think. Movement during pregnancy definitely matters, and finding a great pair of leggings to keep you company as your bump grows will help you stay active and comfortable through every trimester.
I’ll have to keep these in mind for a future pregnancy! Loved the Fabletics maternity leggings – lived in them as soon as I outgrew my normal leggings.
I am going to have to try the Fabletics ones as well! I have never used their leggings before because I am such a creature of habit haha, but worth branching out!
Lululemon Aligns are a game changer!! They fit so flush on the stomach. The do not restrict movement. They are the best. I sized up from size 6 to a size 8 as well and it was perfect! Plus you can wear these postpartum!!
YES! Seriously could just live in these Align leggings all day…oh wait…I already do!
Love Lululemon align leggings! They now offer 2nd hand leggings for a much more affordable price with their Like New section – I got a few pairs for $49!
Would HIGHLY recommend love and fit leggings, nursing sports bras, or literally anything on her site. Small mama owned business and the quality is amazing! I’m a lulu gal too but these are the best maternity options ❤️❤️
I love the Arie Offline high rise leggings. They’re a good dupe for the Aligns and go on sale frequently!! Just in case any mamas are looking for something a bit more budget friendly!! Excited to try the Blanquis though!!
